Chocolate Chip Cookies

Here are some good ol' fashion traditional chocolate chip cookies! These cookies are a good snack for any event, both big and small! Ingredients: 2 cups flour 1/4 cup olive oil 2 cup chocolate chip cookies 1 cup sugar 2 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla 1 egg 1/2 milk Directions: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and vanilla In a smaller bowl, combine vanilla, egg, milk and olive oil Whip the ingredients in the smaller bowl until the substance is bubbly Combine both wet and dry ingredients Put the chocolate chip cookies in the cookie dough Mix until there is no more flour seen Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit  Take a small spoon full of cookie dough and roll the cookie dough into small rolls Do that until all the cookie dough is gone On a cookie sheet, place all of your rolls on the sheet Put the cookies in the oven for 10 minutes, or until brown Once you take the cookies out of the oven, let them sit for 2...

Pizza Time!

Here is a fun recipe for homemade pizza! You can add your own toppings and personalize it any way you like. Pizza crust ingredients: 2 cups flour 1 tsp. salt 1 packet yeast 1 1/2 tsp. sugar 2 tbls. olive oil 3/4 cup warm water Directions: Combine 1 cup of flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. If desired, add garlic powder and dried basil at this point as well. Add olive oil and warm water and use a wooden spoon to stir well very well. Gradually add another 1 cup of flour. Add any additional flour as needed  Stir until the dough is formed into an elastic ball and is beginning to pull away from the sides of the bowl. The dough will still be slightly sticky but still should be manageable with your hands. Drizzle a separate, large, clean bowl generously with olive oil and use a pastry brush to brush up the sides of the bowl. Potato Salad

Here is some yummy potato salad that will fill you up quick! Ingredients: 4 cups of red skin potatoes 1 chopped onion 1 cup parsley 2 cup mayo 2 tsp. of oregano 2 tsp. salt 1 tbls. celery seed 2 tbls. yellow mustard Directions: Boil 6 cups of water Dice up all potatoes, keep the skins on potatoes In a separate boil, combine mayo, parsley, oregano, salt, mustard, onion, and celery seed Put the potatoes in the boiling water Boil the potatoes till they are soft Once the potatoes are cooled off, combine sauce and potatoes If desired, you may sprinkle some parsley on top Enjoy!

Today's Special is from Scotland! This recipe is called Cranachan. Ingredients: 1 1/2 double cream 1/2 cup caster sugar 1 cup Scottish raspberries 1/2 cup rolled oats 1/8 cup whiskey  Directions: Pour the sugar and the oats into the same bowl.  Roast in your oven or under the grill until golden brown  Leave it to cool Add the rest of the sugar to the cream and whip to a soft peak Add in the cooled oats and raspberries, reserving some of the raspberries for garnish and add as much whisky as you dare. Gently fold all together and spoon into glasses. Enjoy!

Supplies: (Each supply has a link to it to be purchased online) Green Mesh ,  Red Mesh ,  White Mesh ,  Navy Blue Mesh ,  Black Rocks ,  Wooden Stars ,  Styrofoam Circle (center) ,  Chenille Stems ,  18 inch wire wreath Michaels Comments: The black rocks were painted brown on the center. The wooden stars were painted white. The rocks, center, and stars were hot-glued to the wreath.

Yellow and Peach Cake

Ingredients 2 cups flour 1 cup sugar 1 tsp. baking powder 2 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 2 eggs 1 cup milk 1/4 cup olive oil 1 1/2 cup peaches Directions: In a large bowl, mix all dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda In a smaller bowl, mix eggs, milk, olive oil Combine both dry and wet ingredients Put the peaches in the mix Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F Pour the mixture into a cake pan Bake for 45 minutes Enjoy!  Here is a frosting recipe if you wish to make some frosting for your cake! 3 cups of powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla 1/2 cup milk, or as needed Mix all ingredients until you create a creamy substance. If desired, you may add 1/2 tsp - 1 tsp. of lemon juice to create a lemon zest.

Cranberry Greek Salad

Ingredients: 1 cups mixed salad greens (I use leaf lettuce, endive and radiccio) 4 cup dried sweetened cranberries 1/2 ounces crumbled feta cheese 2 cup walnut pieces, toasted 1 tablespoons balsamic vinegar 1 tablespoon honey 1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 cup extra virgin olive oil Directions: Toss mixed salad greens, cranberries, feta cheese and walnuts Combine vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, black pepper and olive oil in a separate bowl Combine dressing and dry ingredients if desired Enjoy!

Carrot Cake

Carrot Cake is so delicious and easy to make! Ingredients: 2 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 cup granulated sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon salt 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg 1 cup olive oil 1/2 cup butter 4 large eggs 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 3 cups grated carrots 1 cup walnuts (optional) Ingredients of Frosting: 1/2 cup   (1 stick)  b utter   softened  8   oz   cream cheese   softened  1   teaspoon  v anilla extract  1/4   teaspoon   salt 4   cups   powdered sugar   Directions: Preheat oven to 350F and prepare two 8-inch pans by lining the bottoms with parchment paper and lightly greasing and flouring the sides. In a large bowl, whisk together your flour, sugars, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Today's special is from Italy called Caprese Salad with Pesto Sauce Ingredients 2 tomatoes 1 packet Buffalo Mozzarella Cheese Handfu Tulsi Sauce: Handful of Basil 1 cup of Pine Nuts 1 cup of Parmesan Cheese 1/2 cup Olive Oil 1/8 cup of lemon Directions for  Pesto Sauce Blend the basil with pine nuts, Parmesan cheese with extra virgin olive oil, until it forms a paste. Squeeze in the lemon juice. If the paste is too thick, add in more extra virgin olive oil to reach the desired consistency. Directions for Salad: Cut 2 juicy tomatoes in thick rounds and dress them with a little bit of extra virgin olive oil, some salt and pepper. Break Mozzarella into chunks. On a serving platter, arrange the tomato slices along with the mozzarella chunks. Garnish with tulsi and pesto sauce.

Friday's special is from India! Indian Lamb Curry in a Bread Bowl 6 large cloves peeled garlic One 3-inch piece peeled fresh ginger 1 ⁄ 4  cup plus 2 Tbsp. canola or olive oil 2 large white onions, chopped (about 3 cups) 4 bay leaves 2 small cinnamon sticks 1 tbsp. ground turmeric 1 ⁄ 4  cup plus 1 Tbsp. garam masala 3 medium tomatoes, chopped (2 cups) 2  1 ⁄ 4  lb. boneless mutton or lamb shoulder, cut into 1-inch cubes 2 tbsp. kosher salt 3 medium russet potatoes (1  3 ⁄ 4  lb.), peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes Leaves from 12 sprigs fresh cilantro One 1-pound loaf unsliced white bread, cut crosswise into quarters Directions: In a small food processor or mortar and pestle, add the garlic and ginger and pulse or pound until a paste forms. Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken

Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken Ingredients: 12 ounces of Fettuccine Noodles Olive Oil 1 stick butter 1 tsp. of salt 1/2 tsp. of pepper pinch of oregano pinch of parsley 2 cups of heavy cream Pinch of Nutmeg 1/4 cup of Parmesan cheese 3 boneless chicken breasts Directions: Boil the Fettuccine Noodles In sauce pan, combine butter, heavy milk, salt, pepper, oregano, parsely, nutmeg, olive oil and Parmesan cheese Preheat the oven to 365 degrees In a pan, place chicken breasts in the pan. Lightly cover the chicken with a sprinkle of salt and pepper, with a small amount of olive oil. Cook the chicken for 35 minutes, or until no pink. Cut the chicken up into small pieces, then combine the sauce and chicken. Serve over the Fettuccine Noodles. Enjoy!
